[16a-B4-6] Coherent Control of High-Efficient Beam Bending Metasurfaces

Various functionalities in metasurfaces, which are very thin optical phased array antennas, have been developed intensively. Since we have already found a structure whose functionality can be coherently controlled with using optical dual input with keeping high efficiency, we actually fabricated and measured this. And we demonstrated the switching of beam bending function with the efficiency of 48%. We would also show that the extinction ratio can be improved up to > 20 dB by tuning the intensity ratio of the dual input. Ultra-short 1x1 gates for low-latency computing would be developed based on this study.
