We have investigated the spatial uniformity of the charge transport of a pBTTT-C16 film formed on a highly hydrophobic SiO2 gate insulator surface by flow-coating. The uniformity was evaluated from the device-to-device variation of a 5 x 12-matrix OFET array fabricated over about 1 cm2 area. The device-to-device variation of field-effect mobility was less than 3 % for each of the parallel and perpendicular OFET sets, where the ‘parallel (perpendicular)’ specifies the channel current direction with respect to the flow-coating direction. A very small device-to-device variation was also observed for on-state current, threshold voltage, and sub-threshold swing. These results show the very high spatial uniformity of the flow-coated pBTTT-C16 film in the charge transport.
