In this study, we have focused on the development of biomimetic optical sensing devices using bacteriorhodopsin. To fabricate high functional devices, the technology which enables us highly efficient, free patterning is desired. Here, we have tried to fabricate the device via ink-jet patterning of bacteriorhodopsin using a material printer. The obtained device exhibits the same current responce as the device fabricated via a dip-coating method. The availability of this method was confirmed.
