[16p-A35-1] Application of III-V compound semiconductor solar cell for high-efficiency optical wireless power transmission

An optical wireless power transmission is promissing for a lot of applications. For the purpose of higher efficiency, we adopted a semiconductor laser as a light sorce and a compound semiconductor solar cell as a detector. Adjusting an energy of a laser light into a band gap energy of a solar cell, thermal loss should be minimaized. The power conversion efficiency of 47.8% was obtained at laser power of 23.2mW.
