[16p-B12-7] Control of near-infrared plasmon excitations at nanoparticle interfaces of In2O3:Sn
Keywords:oxide semiconductor, surface plasmons, mechanical stress
This study aims at fabricating reflective-type solar thermal shielding in the near-infrared range utilizing surface plasmons from oxide semiconductor nanoparticles (NP). In this presentation, we introduce mechanical stresses to In2O3:Sn NP sheets in order to clear mechanism of near- and mid-infrared reflectance. Uniaxial stresses in the NP sheets caused systematic change in resonant frequency and reflection intensity, which demonstrated that near-field interactions played an important role in producing high reflectance in the NP sheets in the near- and mid-infrared range.
