[16p-P1-11] Fabrication of terahertz wave plates by 3D printer

We fabricated a low-cost terahertz quarter wave plates by 3D printer. We made a subwavelength grating structure in order to form birefringence. Using the effective medium theory, we fabricated quarter wave plate which would work around 0.2 THz. By terahertz time domain spectroscopy using polarizers, we measured the polarization of the transmitted THz pulse, and the pulse was circular polarized around 0.2 THz.
