[16p-P6-6] Odd-even effects of substituted alkyl-chain of quaterthiophene derivatives on structure and transport properties

in-situ real-time 2-dimensional grazing-incidence X-ray diffraction (2D-GIXD) measurement using synchrotron radiation is performed during thin-film growth of alkyl-substituted quterthiophene (Cn4T, n=0, 4-12). quarterthiophenes having different alkyl chain lengths were synthesized and employed as the organic semiconductor samples to examine the odd-even effects of alkyl-chain lengths on their crystal growth and transport properties in thin film transistors.
