[19a-H116-1] Above MW Peak Power at 1 kHz from Microchip 266 nm Laser

The development of 1 kHz microchip ultraviolet laser (UV-MCL) stimulates interest in material processing, laser breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and single photon ionized mass spectroscopy (SPI-MS). Efficiently reducing heat generation in the crystal originated from high repetition rates is a key issue in developing high peak power laser systems. The heat reduction from a qCW LD with 3 times higher pump power was analyzed. Above MW peak power UV-MCL at 1 kHz was achieved by using qCW LD with high pump power of 400 W.
