▲ [19a-S224-10] Synthesis and Solar Cell Application of Structure Controlled ZnO Nanocrystals
キーワード:zinc oxide,nano particle,solar cell
Nanoparticles of oxide semiconductors play crucial roles in mesoscopic solar cells such as dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), quantum dot solar cells and perovskite solar cells. Not only the absolute size of the particles but also their shape and preferentially exposed crystal facets are expected to cause drastic changes in their performance, because it serves as the interface for carrier extraction and also for recombination. Also expected is the influence to the chemical stability of the light absorber (dye, Q-dot, perovskite) to be deposited onto the oxide surface. While titanium dioxide is widely used, zinc oxide (ZnO) is an attractive alternative due to its high electron mobility and flexibility in its structure control. We have succeeded in synthesis of size and structure controlled ZnO nanoparticles by rapid hydrothermal crystallization employing microwave radiation and structure directing agents (SDAs). Here, the synthetic methods, structural characterizations and their properties in DSSC applications are reported.
