Morphology of nanostructures on the surface of a cicada (Cryptotympana facialis) wing was analyzed by using a scanning electron microscopy. Circular truncated cones in nanoscale were widely spread with regularly.To mimic its nanostructure, nano–pillars were fabricated by using metal assisted etching of Si wafer. Our introduced process has advantages for industrial usage because of low cost and low environmental load.
