[19p-H101-4] Development of Cuprate Superconducting Wires with Biaxially Textured Structure

Yasuhiro Iijima1 (1.Fujikura Ltd.)

Keywords:tape, long-length coated conductor processing and the increasing performance

Cuprate superconductors have an essential problems of intergranular weaklinks come from so short coherent length and anisotropic superconducting symmetry. It requires quite severe technical challenge to introduce end-to-end textured structure into long tape-shaped wires to get practical transport current. This paper presents current status and future prospects for cuprate superconducting wires concentrating on biaxially textured RE123 coated conductors.
