Prussian blue and its analogues (PBAs) are cathode materials for lithium / sodium ion secondary batteries. Recently, some researchers reported anode property of PBAs. However, the mechanism of anode behavior in PBAs is still poorly understood. Here, we investigated the X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and X-ray absorption spectra around the Mn and Fe K-edge with manganese Prussian blue analogues. We found that iron metal is formed after full-discharge process and the iron component is decreased after full-charge process. This behavior is suggested that the iron metal is oxidized. In our presentation, we will also assign reactants from XRD pattern and discuss the mechanism of anode behavior in manganese Prussian blue analogues.
