Magnetic nanoparticles surrounded by amorphous SiO2 were prepared by wet chemical mixing method and magnetic properties were investigated. Based on the result, we examined the usefulness of nanoparticles for magnetic hyperthermia and as an agent for MRI and CT imaging. It was found that our particles are effective for future theranostics.
