[19p-P5-4] Ignition Process of 1 kW class Diode Laser Sustained Plasma using YAG Laser

In the development of the thermal protection system (TPS) for entry space vehicle and planetary exploration spacecraft, the environment of atmospheric entry need to be simulated on the ground. And in the recent research, it was indicated that laser driven plasma wind tunnel (LDPW) has the possibility which LDPW can simulate the entry environment to Venus. In this study, seed plasma is generated using pulsed Nd: YAG laser and the experimental study of generation condition on laser sustained plasma using diode laser which has higher energy efficiency than conventional CO2 laser is conducted by emission spectroscopy.
