Nanocubes with a perovskite structure have widespread applications for dielecric, piezoelectric, and magnetic devices, catalysis, photocatalysis, and phosphors. Many applications of inorganic materials envisioned with nanometer-scale crystals critically depend on the ability to make and manipulate such objects. In particular barium titanate is a perovskite oxide functinal material that has been attracting attenction as dielectric material. The present work describes the fabrication of the BaTiO3 nanocubes by microwave-assisted solvothermal method. The preparation and characterization of the BaTiO3 nanocubes were investigated.
