[19p-S621-3] Polarization-Coherence Control of Statistical Optical Fields: A Mini Review

Last decade has seen significant progress in unification of the theories of coherence and polarization, which has been achieved mostly by taking analytic approaches to the problems of stochastic vector fields. The purpose of this talk is to shed light on less known research based on synthetic approaches. To this end, a mini review will be given on our unconventional holographic techniques, referred to as vector-field coherence holography and Stokes holography, which can synthesize desired stochastic vector fields with controllable statistical properties characterized by a polarization-coherence matrix and a generalized Stokes vector.
