[19p-W531-5] Anisotropic optical absorption and photoinduced electron transfer of CdSe quantum dots adsorbed on single crystal rutile TiO2
Keywords:semiconductor quantum dot, single crystal rutile titanium dioxide, photoinduced electron transfer
Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have many desirable characteristics for use as sensitizers, such as enabling tuning of the bandgap based on the quantum confinement effect, a higher extinction coefficient, and facilitating charge injection as a result of the large dipole moment. In this presentation, we describe the exponential optical absorption and photoinduced electron transfer of CdSe quantum dots adsorbed on single crystal rutile TiO2. The results show that the exponential optical absorption and photoinduced electron transfer depend on the crystal orientation of single crystal rutile TiO2 substrate. Moreover, the recombination probability of photoinduced electron transfer depends on the crystal orientation of single crystal rutile TiO2 substrate.
