Generation of surface plasmon waves are expected for various applications from energy to biology due to artificial control of materials and structures. We focus on ZnO that has been investigated from the viewpoint of excitonic and electronic control, and found long-range propagated surface plasmon waves utilizing plasmonic waveguides. The experimental and theoretical works revealed that the surface plasmon waves showed high FoM above 100 in the infrared region.
