The energy loss due to carrier recombination in the solar cell is also about 20% of the incident energy. Therefore, we have proposed a method of suppressing loss due to carrier recombination by applying gate voltage to generation layer applied structure of MOS transistor to solar cell . In this study, to fabricated the solar cell by using the SOI substrate, and it was confirmed the improvement of the conversion efficiency by suppressed carrier recombination with the application of a gate voltage.
