[20p-P4-10] Numerical simulation for improving nan-focusing performance of femtosecond plasmon pulses with gold taper structures.

Simulation were performed using FDTD method for grating optimization and for focusing at taper tip with plane wave incidence. The shape of grating are plane grating and curved grating. Curved grating is useful in optimizing the geometric shape of the grating coupler, by tailoring the spatial phase profile of the incident light.Excitation light source are plane wave and adapting the wave front of the incident laser field to the ideal SPP field. We conclude that the efficiency is increased using curved rating.
