High power 1178 nm photonic bandgap fiber amplifier needs high power seed light. As this seed, we used fiber Raman amplifier(FRA) at 1178 nm. To make this amplifier high output, high power and lineally-polarized optical fiber oscillators of 1120 nm was necessary. In this study, we develop 1120 nm high-power fiber pump source for FRA.
