Asymmetric bi-mesogen which is composed of a rod-like unit and imine has the usual cholesteric phase and twist-bended nematic phase. Recently, multiple intermediate nematic phases were found in the narrow temperature range between these two nematic phases. We studied the relationship between the order of the molecule and thermal properties of these intermediate phases by means of temperature wave analysis method (TWA).
