Keywords:pi-conjugated molecule,Langmuir-Blodgett Technique

We focused on Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique to obtain low-demensional integration of π-conjugated units. In this study, an acrylamide-based polymer with π-conjugated units in side chain (pCzAA) were designed and synthesized. For the homopolymer pCzAA, only a small amount (ca. 10 mol%) of amphiphilic polymer with long alkylchain (pDDA) enhances monolayer stability, which enabled successive transfer of the pDDA:pCzAA blend monolayers on hydrophobic substrates. Furthermore, x-ray reflectivity (XRR) measurements show that the LB films had a highly ordered layered structure. These results proved that pCzAA serves as a building block for 2D integration.
