We propose a novel laser ablation method for cluster formation. Compared with the conventional laser ablation in liquid, nanocluster yield is very high and monodispersed nanocluster can be fabricated. Additionally, sub-nanocluster can be also fabricated. We report laser ablation at the air-liquid interface for Pd-single nanoclusters and Ag sub-nanoclusters.
