[20p-W521-14] Triarylboron-based thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters
Keywords:Organic light emitting diodes,Thermally activated delayed fluorescence,Organo boron compounds
Triarylboron compounds have attracted muchattention, and found wide use as functional materials becauseof their electron-accepting properties arising from the vacant porbitals on the boron atoms.Inthis study, wedesign andsynthesize new donor–acceptor triarylboron emitters that showthermally activated delayed fluorescence. These emitters dis-play sky-blue to green emission and high photoluminescencequantum yields of 87–100%inhost matrices.Organic light-emitting diodes using these emitting molecules as dopantsexhibit high external quantum efficiencies of 14.0–22.8%,which originate from efficient up-conversion from triplet tosinglet states and subsequent efficient radiative decayfromsinglet to ground states.
