A Fourier transform two-dimensional transient absorption spectrometer (FT-2DTAS) was developed. In the system, the white light covering the whole visible region is adopted as the pump and probe lights. The wavelength of light responsible for the observed transient absorption was clarified by modulation frequency marked by a scanning tandem Fabry-Pérot interferometer. For a demonstration of FT-2DTAS, we examined the transient absorption of sudan red 7B. FT-2DTA spectra revealed the two reaction pathways of the two sequential photoisomerization reactions as trans → cis → trans isomerization.
