デジタル化に伴う技術のコモディティー化の中で、材料からの本質的な技術開発ができる人材教育が重要である。本校で初めて半導体教育に対して太陽電池製作実験を導入した。実験前後に同じ内容のテストとアンケートを行った。テスト正答率は向上した。特にpn接合の拡散電流と太陽電池の短絡光電流に関する正答率が大きく向上した。アンケートでは、これまでの座学だけに比べて、理解度と興味ともに増加して好評であった。
