[21a-P6-15] High efficient terahertz-evanescent wave spectroscopy using optical waveguide structure

In this study, we demonstrated high efficient terahertz-evanescent wave spectroscopy, using an optical waveguide structure to reduce requirement for the excitation light sources.The Dual-wavelength light sources for the terahertz-wave generation(100mW of average power) was coupled to the optical waveguide.After spatial separation of Dual-wavelength light using the grating pair, the intensity difference of Dual-wavelength light was measured using balance detector.The measurement sample was a optically polished silicon prism.When silicon prism was located on Ti diffused LiNbO3 waveguide, the output of balance detector was increased.The result indicates that the high sensitive detection of THz wave can be performed using a CW laser.
