A cavity-resonator-integrated guided-mode resonance filter consisting of a grating coupler between two distributed Bragg reflectors on a waveguide on a transparent substrate has been proposed to provide a narrow-band reflection spectrum for an incident wave of a small diameter from the free space. The temporal response of the filter is very important in an application to the optical communication. In this work, we investigated the temporal response with analytical description of the complex reflection and transmission coefficients and with the calculation in the frequency domain.
