We have demonstrated resonantly enhanced directional and polarized emission using luminescent nanostructured waveguide resonance. Our concept is based on coupling between emitters in the luminescent waveguide and a resonant waveguide mode. We show that resonant emission is attributable not only to modified emission patterns that are a function of the local density of photonic states but also to the increased spontaneous emission rate which enhances the probability of photon emission in the resonant mode.
