We studied the effect of the single-triplet annihilation (STA) in the light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs). We found the STA was strongly observed at high current density region under 1 ms pulse operation, while the effect was reduced by operating the LEC with short pulse that is shorter than the lifetime of triplet exciton.
