[21a-W621-2] Increase and Oscillations of Intracellular Calcium Concentration Induced by Plasma-produced Reactive Species in Solution

Non-equilibrium atmospheric-pressure plasma has recently emerged as a novel tool in medicine. We have previously reported that spatially-selective transfer of genes and drugs is realized by use of the plasma irradiation and one of the factors is plasma-produced chemical reactive species in liquid. The presentation will contain the mechanism of cell response to the reactive species in liquid, focusing on the intracellular calcium concentration ([Ca²⁺]_i) which is considered to regulate various cell functions.
