Dark count rate is the key parameter of single-photon detectors. By introducing a optical band-pass filter blocking down to 5 micron meter, we suppressed the dark count rate of SSPD by four orders of magnitude. The dark count rate is limited by the blackbody radiation through a signal passband of 20 nm bandwidth.
