Optical coherence tomography:OCT realize profilometry and tomographic imaging. In interferometer if a reference light match a probe light, interferogram can be observed. Then, analyze the interferogram, you can obtain a tomographic image. However, absoption of the sample have influence on the probe light, because probe light transmit the inside of the sample. Therefore analyzing the interferogram give information of absorption of each layer.
