Vanadium (IV) oxide (VO2) is a phase transition material consists of dielectric and metallic phases with a transition temperature of 68 oC. Recently, we found that the phase transition of VO2 embedding Au nanoparticles was occurred under lower temperature than that of pure VO2 under the visible light irradiation. In this time, we tried to fabricate VO2 film embedding Au nanorods to elucidate their effects on VO2 phase transition.
