In this study, we have synthesized Cr-doped Al2O3 single crystal and ceramic. The crystal sample was synthesized in our laboratory by using a floating zone (FZ) method, while the ceramic sample was synthesized by a Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) method. The aim of this study is to investigate some radiation-induced properties for applications such as a scintillator and dosimeter for radiation measurements.
