▲ [21p-P8-3] Synthesis of ZnO hierarchical nanostructures using NaOH as self-capping agent and optical properties
キーワード:ZnO nanostructure,NaOH,selfcapping agent
Various morphology of ZnO have been studied extensively owing to their excellent optical and electrical properties compared to bulk material. Especially hierarchical nanostructures utilize lower dimensional nanocrystals due to their high mobility, specific surface area, agglomeration configuration and unique properties. Tailoring of ZnO nanostructures by different capping agent, surfactant, etc,. were studied. Even though the morphology of ZnO nanoparticle were modified, the toxicity of capping agents and cost of the surfactants are problems for the practical applicability. To overcome these difficulties, the morphology of ZnO were modified using self- capping agent NaOH, which has no toxicity when compared to organic capping agents. By varying the NaOH concentration, the transformation of ZnO nanoparticle into
2 D – nanosheet and 1 D nanorods was clearly observed. X-ray diffraction revealed that the nanoparticle, nanosheets and nanrods were well crystalline with typical wurtzite phase of ZnO. NaOH acted as precursor as well as capping agent to modify the morphology of ZnO when the concentration of OH- ions was more compared to Zn2+ ions.
