We succeeded in fabricating calcium-alginate microgel spheres with the diameter of approximately 20 microns with the inkjet system we developed. The spheres were fabricated by collision of the micro droplets of the sodium alginate and calcium chloride solutions. We adopted the continuous inkjet system to fabricate the microgel spheres, and the throughput is more than 50,000 per second. In this presentation, we introduce the method to fabricate the microgel spheres and a simple structure made of the spheres.
