Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are used as high sensitivity force sensors in terms of their mechanical resonance properties. Polystyrene beads are common measurement tools for biological samples. Although adhesion between the polystyrene beads and CNTs has been realized by electron beam induced deposition, this method requires vacuum processes and thus the method is incompatible with biological samples. In this work, we propose the method of adhesion by melting the polystyrene beads on laser-heated CNTs.
