We analyse the power and chromatic aberration of the aging human eye. For this analysis, we create several eye models of different ages based on experimental observations. To make the eye models anatomically correct, we model the crystalline lens with a gradient refractive index (GRIN) lens. The GRIN lens refractive index distribution is then optimized to keep the eye models emmetropic at all ages. After optimization, the power and chromatic aberration of each eye model are compared to experimental evidence. With this comparison, we find good agreement between experimental observations and our simulations.
