Keywords:coupled nanocavities,cavity QED

Cavity quantum electrodynamics systems (QEDs) with photonic crystal nanocavities are known to work as low-threshold lasers. Recently, coupled-cavity QEDs attract attention to explore a new function of nanolasers. Here, we report simulation results on the quantum dynamics of coupled nanocavities with a quantum emitter, and find a large-amplitude and self-sustained quantum beat even under cw excitation.
