A coupled multilayer cavity has been proposed for novel terahertz emission devices. Terahertz wave is emitted from one of the cavity layers by difference frequency generation of two-color laser lights which are generated by current injection into multiple quantum wells inside the other cavity. In order to understand the temporal coherence, two-color laser lights generated from the coupled multilayer cavity were characterized by the Michelson interferometer.
