[21p-W331-16] Microspectroscopy of local protein concentration elevation for acceleration of crystallization induced by laser trapping at the air/water interface
Keywords:Laser trapping-induced crystallizaition,Microspectroscopy,Code-sharing session
Focusing of a 1064-nm laser beam to an air/solution interface of a lysozyme solution induces assembly formation, many micrometer-sized dense liquid droplet formation due to a liquid-liquid phase separation and enhanced crystallization. Raman microspectroscopy observation under 1064-nm laser irradiation suggests that the supersaturation degree of the solution ascends rapidly due to the local concentration elevation by trapping lysozyme clusters. We will discuss the correlation between laser-induced crystallization and local/transient concentration elevation of lysozyme which will be induced by exerted photon pressure.
