Compressive Fresnel holography is an application of compressed sensing in holography that can reconstruct a complex field from a sub-sampled diffraction pattern of the complex field. The reconstruction is, however, computationally intensive. In this study, we accelerated the reconstruction in compressive Fresnel holography using a graphics processing unit. Our GPU-based implementation was about up to 80 times faster than CPU-based one.
