Toward next-generation display, we have proposed microfluidic organic light-emitting diodes (microfluidic OLEDs) which are novel liquid OLEDs realized with microfluidic technology. Here, we provide a brief overview of the authors’ own researches on the microfluidic OLEDs, including fabrication methodologies for electro-microfluidic devices, flexible microfluidic OLED, and liquid-based white OLED.
