A huge crystal with high quality is required to determin the structure by XRD in the field of a drug development. Many crystalization techniques have been studied to obtain the good crystal, therefore. In this paper, thaumatin was crystalized by Liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation (LLIP) method as typical protein under the influence of vertical magnetic fields with gradient. We succeeded was crystalized by LLIP method at 20 ℃, which shape was bipyramidal as same as crystal by using an evaporation method. the thaumatin was crystalized and grown for 20 days under the vertical magnetic field of up to 10 T. Magnetic field effects on the shape and size were estimated as a function of position in the bore of the magnet.
