[5a-C24-6] Phase Formation of MnBi during In-field Reaction Process

In order to investigate the origin of magnetic field effects on the reaction of ferromagentic MnBi, microstructural observation by electron probe micro analyzer were performed. It was found that magnetic field enhances the number of formed MnBi at grain boundaries. In addition, annealing time dependence of reacted fraction was good agreement with the kinetic model of diffusion-controlled reactive sintering.
