▼ [5p-A409-8] Coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering imaging of nerves under rigid endoscopy
Keywords:Coherent Raman scattering, Endoscopy
We have developed a coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) rigid endoscope to discriminate small and almost colorless nerves during nerve-sparing surgery. The CARS rigid endoscope consists of synchronized two laser sources, two single-mode optical fibers, different two fiber collimators, and a rigid endoscope head. The rigid endoscope head has a dichroic mirror, a 2-D galvano scanning system, and a rigid endoscope tube (diameter = 12 mm and length = 270 mm) which includes a pair of relay lenses and an objective lens. To show the possibility for detection of nerve, we demonstrate CARS endoscopic imaging of rabbit peri-prostatic nerve.
