[5p-A413-4] Detection of phase encoded signal using inter-pixel crosstalk

In phase-encoded holographic memory systems, in addition to the signal and reference beam, another beam, which we call the phase-detection reference beam, is usually required in order to retrieve the phase signal from the diffracted beam. In this presentation, we propose a new method to read the phase information without using the phase-detection reference beam. Our method utilizes the inter-pixel crosstalk that is caused by a rectangular aperture inserted at the Fourier plane of the input signal. We numerically simulated the detection error, and discuss the effectiveness of our proposed method.
