In the coherent combining of two beams, the power ratio between two output ports can be controlled with relative phase of two inputs. Using this principle, we are now developing a high-speed switching system which act as a pulse picker and/or a controller for both amplitude and pulse width without using any high-voltage modulator. We demonstrated the picking of arbitrary number of pulses from an output pulse train of Yb-doped fiber laser. We also confirmed that pulse width control of the output signal was simply realized by changing a pulse width of electrical control signal.
